I finished my cable mod to a point where I’m happy with it. The fact that I can record high quality audio on my iPhone with a quality handheld XLR mix is magnificent and so useful for me. It wasn’t to much trouble to get this rigged up and it works great. The recording app that I’m using currently is FiRe (Field Recorder) (link opens in iTunes). It’s a top of the line app with tonnes of amazing and well executed features.
