I GOT A JOB!

Two years of college has come to an end and even though graduating is a great feeling, I can truly call it a success because I secured a great NEW JOB! You might remember back when I went to Vancouver to do media coverage of the Olympics and to test out some pretty amazing new iPhone software for journalists. I guess I left a good impression because I’ve been invited to join the VeriCorder team. They design and build amazing apps aimed at journalists, both citizen and professional, and are also great for any media capture and editing. Even though I’m trained as a Radio Broadcaster, this is a dream job for me. I really enjoy Radio but as an early adopter at heart and someone with a passion for new technology, traditional Radio feels a little to ‘old media’ for me right now. That’s why I’m so lucky to be doing both. With VeriCorder, I’ll be working with radio and television stations and media organizations around the world to impliment ground breaking mobile journalism applications so that they can stay in front of the shift in news media.

VeriCorder headquarters is in Kelowna, BC and I will be packing up all of belongings and making the move west by mid June. I’ve heard wonderful things about Kelowna and see pictures of it’s beauty but I can only hope that there is a community there that has been as open and welcoming as the community I’ve found, settled in, and began to love in London.

I’m so excited and I’ll keep you up to date with my travels.

Cheers,
Nick
